what we believe in.

At Ɛdan, cities are understood as living archives.

They hold the stories, labours, and quiet negotiations that shape how people move and make space. Creativity is not an addition to the city, it is part of its structure. It carries forward ways of seeing, making, and imagining that allow us to navigate what exists while building space for what might still emerge.

We hold close the knowledge passed down by those who came before us.

The methods, techniques, and forms of craft are not distant histories but active ways of knowing. They inform how we work, how we listen, and how we take responsibility for the spaces we are part of. We move with these histories, always learning from them.

Knowledge is not fixed or held by a few. It moves through practice, through conversation, through the shared work of making and thinking together. Ɛdan creates the space for that to happen. We are here to hold open the process, not to control it.

We support work that pushes forward, while always staying rooted in the knowledge and care that precedes us. Innovation and tradition are not in opposition. Both hold value for how we build and sustain futures.

Our operations remain clear. Our pay structures are open. A portion of every fund returns directly to a city fund that supports the communities that make this work possible.

Ɛdan is a practice of learning and attention, together. We stay open to what the work teaches us, holding space for futures that cannot yet be fully seen, but are already in motion.
